The Student Ombudsman who is on your side and safeguards your interests if you, for example, find yourself in conflict with the University or CSN
Student Liaison Officers (studiebevakare) at your faculty whom you can turn to if you have problems at your department
Knowledgeable workers who can make your voice heard with regard to economic, social and educational policy issues locally and nationally
Student Legal Advisors (kårjurister) who meet each week to solve your legal problems
Uppsala's student newspaper Ergo is delivered to your door every three weeks, 14 times per year
Uppsala's best private housing database on the internet to help you find housing
Personal loans of up to 3000 SEK
You can rent Norreda Cottage, complete with sleeping cabins, a party hall, sauna and landing allowing you to swim in the lake
A second hand course book service
Reception with computers, fax, telephone, printer, copy machine, scholarship guide, all of the student newspapers and a coffee machine
Together with the United Nations of Uppsala (Kuratorskonventet), the Student Union issues a student ID card which gives you access to the nations, discounts at restaurants and cafés in town and the possibility to vote in the Student Union election. The Student Union also has a partnership with a number of other companies who offer a range of discounts, for example Mecentkortet.
Tother with Uppsala University the Student Union owns the student bookshop Studentbokhandlen which offers course litterature at good prices. The Student Union also helps to run the Student Health Centre, Studenthälsan. In addition to the gyms Stallet and Svettis you can also find nurses, welfare officers, doctors and psychologists.
